Family Guy is an American animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series centers on the Griffins, a family consisting of parents Peter and Lois; their children, Meg, Chris, and Stewie, and their anthropomorphic pet dog, Brian. The show is set in the fictional city of Quahog, Rhode Island.

Since the Season 7 episode "Not All Dogs Go to Heaven", however, the show, which used to be a smash hit, has later become criticized by critics and audiences for many reasons, and these seasons have gone down as one of the worst examples of Seasonal Rot.

About Featured Articles | Nominate an Article

  1. As quality control begins to apply stronger than ever, check out the tutorial on how to create a page, before creating an article.
  2. The main heading to use for each wiki page is Why It Sucks. The latter must contain valid and detailed reasons; do your best to avoid generic stuff like "good acting/animation/soundtrack/etc". Custom headings are allowed but we do not allow non-original or nonsensical ones. No coloring names, because it won’t show up right on some devices.
  3. YouTubers (except those that have a show like SuperMarioLogan) are no longer allowed on this wiki not only due to them clogging up the wiki, but also to avoid drama, expect a block for adding them. This was the reason Atrocious YouTubers Wiki was shut down anyway.
  4. Do not create new categories. If you think a new category is needed ask the admins and they'll make it for you if your suggestion proves to be useful.
  5. Do not reupload deleted pages without permission. Also, reverting edits by admins for no given reason will most likely result in a temporary block.
  6. Do not create a page about a series that hasn't been broadcast yet. No exceptions.
  7. Reviews are optional. Though, if you plan to put in the reviews made by critics, it is also OK to take reviews from other sources. However, plagiarism is not acceptable for anything else. If your article is suspected of being plagiarized, it will get deleted.
  8. Rude behavior towards other users will not be accepted. If you are rude towards another user, expect a ban.
  9. Keep in mind that if you actually like anything on this wiki, that's okay; it's just most people's personal opinions.
  10. We allow memes, but please put them in the “Trivia” section if needed.
  11. Please refrain from swearing in the articles. Swearing in the comment section, however, is allowed as long as it's not used to offend other users.
  12. "At least it's better than..." and "Wasted the talents of..." reasons, as well as terms like "Let that sink in" are not allowed due to being overused, as well as the fact that the show spawned memes under "Redeeming Qualities".
  13. Be as formal as possible when editing.
  14. Removing information or messing with the articles without giving a good reason is considered vandalism and can result in a ban.
  15. Reasons for deleted comments are: malicious propaganda, harassing others, pornography or if the comment makes no sense.
  16. If you want to create a sandbox page, do not tag your sandbox page with categories, as they will not only clutter the categories, they are only for actual articles.
  17. You will always be able to argue about your block on your own message wall, unless what you did was unforgivable.
  18. Pages that are not allowed include TV channels or blocks (unless they deal with news/sports), and religious news/talk shows such as The 700 Club and The PTL Club. As of July 2019, FuturisticHub-related pages are not allowed due to Miraheze staff requests.
  19. NSFW content is only allowed for pages on NSFW shows, series, or controversies.
  20. Do not add any blog posts that are hit pieces about users you don't like.
    • In addition, blog posts that pokes fun at users who like the Reception Wikis are also banned due to the rise of drama that took place. Blocks will be handed out to those if they are made on the wikis.
  21. Please do not resort to cancel culture, as it will not resolve anything, except make things even worse. We don't need that.
  22. If you plan on making a sandbox, please do not use it outside of making approved pages or proposed edits to protected pages. If you wish to make unofficial pages, it is recommended to use a blog post for that.
    • Sandboxes should also not be linked to categories as they messed up the categories and likely flood them, anyone who's still doing that will be blocked for 2 weeks without a warning.
  23. Do not send foe requests to any user, as it will likely cause drama. Likewise, do not continue to bash users long after they've been blocked, as it's considered dead horse beating.
  24. Do not add in the bad qualities that a certain actor is a pedophile/accused of sexual misconduct, as this is not the fault of the show. Anyone who does this will be blocked.
  25. Do not close threads so soon without waiting for someone else to give their two cents.
  26. Downvoting comments is no longer allowed, due to the heavy amount of opinion disrespecting and trollism, and the comment code has been changed to upvotes only. Anyone who downvotes a comment after changing the code back to normal will be blocked without warning.
  27. Do not use terms like "Receptiontards, Receptionspregs or Receptionf*gs", as they're nothing but insults to people who like the Reception Wikis and they will likely cause drama.
  28. For admins, please do not delete comments, blogs, or talk pages that contain criticisms of the wikis, as it will make us look like we can't handle criticism.
  29. No harmful and insulting content directed to the wikis and to their users posted off-site will be tolerated; in addition, no excuses like "it's a joke", "it is not to be taken seriously" will be valid. Regarding how old the offending content is, it will be up to the administration staff to decide but know that generally the harmfulness of verifiable malicious content doesn't expire after a certain period of time.
  30. Do not add any categories to a blog, as that will only clog up the wiki. Expect a warning or a block if you do so.
  31. If you see a troll causing trouble, do not interact with them in any shape or form as giving them any attention is troll feeding and will only make things worse.
  32. The disclaimer saying "WARNING: Do not add this to the Average category" is now forbidden due to the heavy amount of overuse, and anyone who adds it will be warned. Persisting with this will result in a block.
  33. Do not add the Good or Featured templates to pages without an admin's permission. Instead, nominate the article you think is worthy of one of the templates.
  34. Do not tell other users to make pages for you instead of doing so yourself, as that only encourages laziness and bossiness.
  35. Before you move a page, create a topic on what you think said page should be renamed to, so that you can hear other users' thoughts on it and see whether they agree or not.
  36. Keep the captions in the infobox short and simple, as making it overly long is unnecessary and can clutter the infobox.
  1. Celebdumb: Controversial reasoning.
  2. Anything already added in Best Shows & Episodes Wiki: No explanation needed.
  3. Any show that hasn't come out yet: Self-explanatory.
  4. YouTubers, celebrities, and users: We don't want it to become the next Atrocious YouTubers Wiki due to drama.
  5. The Patrick Star Show: Too divisive to be on either wiki right now.
  6. The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog: Same with the Mario shows.
  7. Black Clover: while the first episodes were weak, the show has singificantly improved over time and now has a very good reception.
  8. The Fairly OddParents ((seasons 6-8)) : Well-received seasons despite the show seeing a gradual dip in quality. Not to mention, these seasons problems are not because of Poof.
  9. SpongeBob SquarePants (Seasons 4-5, 9-present): Despite seeing a gradual decline in quality, these seasons aren't terrible and live up to the first 3 seasons. While Seasons 6 and 8 have problems, they aren't as bad as Season 7. Likewise, the Post-Sequel era is forbidden as this era has been praised as a major improvement and bring the show's charm back.
  10. Family Guy (Seasons 6-7): Not bad enough to be on this wiki, while there are more issues in comparison to Seasons 1-5, they are much better than Seasons 8-present.
  11. 4Kids Entertainment: not really a bad company, despite being panned by anime fans, and made a lot of contributions to the anime industry in America.
  12. Thomas & Friends (Seasons 8, 11): Despite seeing a steady decline in quality, these seasons aren't as terrible as Seasons 9-10, 12-16 and 22-24.
  13. Dragon Ball Super: Not a bad show despite being divisive among fans.
  14. Tokyo Ghoul (1st Season-:re (Season 1)): Though the anime adaption is panned by the majority of people that have read the manga the anime has a page on Best TV Shows wiki.
