Sam, this time you’ve gone too far on poor Freddie in this awful episode.
Part of Season: 2
Episode Number: 8
Air Date: January 3, 2009
Writer: Dan Schneider
Director: Steve Hoefer
Previous episode: iChristmas
Next episode: iGive Away a Car

"iKiss" is the 8th episode of the 2nd season of iCarly and the 35th episode overall.

iPlot

Sam overhears Freddie confess that he's never kissed a girl, then exposes his secret on the web show. Gibby and Carly train Spencer for a tryout with a professional football team.

iBad Qualities

  1. Much like “iMeet Fred”, this is a Freddie torture episode.
  2. It sends a horrible message to kids and teens saying that you're weird if you don't participate in acts like kissing.
  3. Sam is a total jerk in this episode just because Freddie finally stood up to her bullying and handcuffed her to Gibby.
  4. Everyone else is a jerk in this episode too, like freaking out after learning that Freddie's never kissed.
  5. The writing is just awful, and there are very few funny moments.
  6. Sam was actually rude to Freddie in the beggining, so she did deserve what she got. In fact, she's tortures Freddie all the time. She obviously deserves worse than being handcuffed to Gibby.
  7. Awful plot twist: Sam and Freddie decide to kiss just to get it over with.
  8. Gibby throws hot coffee on Spencer, and he never apologizes for it.

iGood Qualities

  1. Freddie actually gets back at Sam for doing something to him, and his prank is enjoyable (handcuffing her to Gibby.)
  2. Carly calling out Sam for her unjustified behavior at the end was outstanding.
  3. Sam at least realizes the error of her eyes and apologizes to Freddie in the end (even though she only did this after Carly called her out).
  4. Spencer does have a few funny moments.
  5. Good acting as usual.
