Heil Honey I'm Home! is a 1990's British sitcom program which features fictional versions of Adolf Hitler and his wife, Eva Braun. It was cancelled after only one episode. It's considered by many to be one of the worst TV shows ever made.

Plot

The pilot that aired on TV featured Adolf Hitler and his wife Eva Braun living in an apartment somewhere in Berlin next door to their Jewish neighbors Arny and Rosa Goldenstein, whom they hate and want to get rid of. They are preparing to meet with British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain over tensions of Nazi Germany threatening to swallow up Czechslovakia through the 1938 Munich Agreement. Arny and Rosa also accidentally get involved in their meeting but in the end, the meeting succeeds with Hitler signing the agreement and Neville Chamberlain leaves his apartment in peace, with Adolf and Eva cuddling each other over their fond memories with one and another.

Why It Sucks

  1. The concept of the show itself is very offensive to Jewish people, survivors, and victims of the Holocaust.
  2. The actor portraying Hitler sounds like he's from Brooklyn instead of Austria.
  3. Poor acting.
  4. Bad jokes that are pretty offensive.
  5. The animation in the intro is bad.
  6. Repetitive and annoying theme song that just repeats the show's title over and over again (similar to The Nutshack).
  7. Nonsensical title; "Heil" does not mean "Hey" nor "Hi", it means "Hail".
  8. The show is supposed to be set in 1938-39, but Hitler and Eva did not marry until 1945.

Trivia

  • The show was cancelled after the pilot aired, likely due to the offensive nature of the show.

Yes, my country can create bad sitcoms revolving around historical leaders.

I'm just wondering: if Hitler ended up failing and humiliated at the end of every episode, would it make the sitcom less offensife?

The movie "Jojo Rabbit" is EVEN WORSE than this show.

Actually, Jojo Rabbit is better. This is because although may be offensive to some, it can be funny and charmingfor others. This show is worse because it tries to mix Hitler with I Love Lucy and fail miserably.

I think this show may have inspired a few girls on DeviantArt to fetishize and glorify Hitler. I remember seeing a G+ post about them and how they would call him "Dolfy," not knowing that his wife was actually Eva Braun.

Yeah, this is very agitating. Do they realize that he was a madman?!
