(Also known as Gadget Boy and known as Gadget Boy and Heather for it's second season) is a French-American animated television series co-produced by DIC Entertainment and France Animation. It is a spin-off to Gadget Boy's Adventures in History and features a young boy who with his secret agent nanny Heather and robotic dog G-9, save the world from the villainness Spydra.
Inspector Gadget BTSW Bad Qualities
Mediocre animation with many animation errors, even for DIC standards.
Bad lip-syncing, as many times when characters speak, their lips don't move at all or don't move to the speech well (mostly due to the fact that it was first shown in France).
Despite being a spin-off, the show is just a rehash of
Inspector Gadget, with the characters and concept being based on that. Don Adams' voice for Gadget Boy sounds way too much like his Inspector Gadget voice and doesn't sound like a child.
Spydra is a less-menacing and forgettable villain, compared to Dr. Claw.
The second season was only created to fulfill FCC E/I requirements and it shows. Good Qualities
Good and catchy theme song.
Good voice acting from the likes of Don Adams, Maurice LaMarche, and Tara Strong.
The French version is a bit better, with a more fitting voice for Gadget Boy and better lip-syncing.
Some characters are likable, if generic.
Tara Strong, who does the voice of Agent Heather, would go on to voice Penny in the 2015 CGI Inspector Gadget cartoon.
