Estopa o Lutador (lit. Estopa the Fighter) is 11th episode of the first season of As Aventuras de Gui & Estopa, originally premiered in 2008. The episode focuses on Estopa doing training to defeat a elephant guy to rescue Cróquete's rubber platypus.
Why It Sucks
Cróquete is really unlikeable in this episode, acting in a similar way as her is in the episodes from season three onwards. Being spoiled and whiny to the point of forcing Estopa to fight the elephant guy to take his rubber platypus for her, claiming he the platypus was hers and he stole it. She also doesn't show any concerns about Estopa getting hurt in the fight.
Before making the tantrum for the rubber platypus, Cróquete acts rudely with the elephant guy, calling him immature and childish, showing hypocrisy.
The elephant guy is supposed to be the antagonist of the episode, but he did practically nothing wrong to start, Cróquete was the responsible for starting the fight since the rubber platypus belonged to him and not her.
This is a Estopa's torture episode, since Estopa is not only forced to fight against a guy bigger than him because of Cróquete, but is also tormented by a trio of annoying coaches who constantly call him stinky.
The joke about Estopa having his armpit stinking on the bus is very random.
Gui appears at the end of the episode to see Estopa's fight, but his appearance looks just pointless, as he doesn't even speak or interact with the characters. Fifivelinha's appearance at the beginning of the episode seemed pointless too.
Awful ending: after Estopa defeats the elephant guy and starts chasing the coaches, the episode ends with a focus on Croche showing Ingrpa ingratitude and calling him immature, although afterwards she keeps squeezing the rubber platypus in a childish way.
The scene Estopa yells at the coaches because they are disturbing his sleep is funny.
The idea of Estopa defeating the elephant guy seeing him as the annoying coaches was clever.
