Calvin and Hobbes is an unofficial web series based on the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip by Bill Watterson.

Calvin and his imaginary friend Hobbes live their normal everyday lives.

Bad Qualities

  1. The voice acting is terrible. Calvin sounds like he's constantly having minor voice cracks, and Hobbes sounds like, well, not what Hobbes should sound like, and Susie sounds like she's in her 20s rather then sounding like a child.
  2. The animation is terrible and cheap.
  3. Random things happen at any given time, like eyebrows suddenly appear disappear on Calvin in episode 1, or Ms. Wormwood flying for no given reason in episode 4.
  4. The backgrounds are bad. Some backgrounds are poorly cropped from the original Calvin and Hobbes comic strip, and some are low-quality stock images.
  5. The characters' movement can be broken at times, like heads popping off a little, arms moving quickly out of the blue, and when a character's moving while being a still image, parts of that character's body stretch awkwardly.
  6. Episode 5 has flashing images that go without warning, and could be startling to young viewers.

Good Qualities

  1. It's very faithful to the comic strip.
  2. The theme song is very good and catchy.
  3. It's nice to see Calvin and Hobbes again.
