Don't want to hear about hurricanes or state wars? Watch regular CNN instead.

CNN 10 (formerly CNN Student News) is a student news web series. It is a spin-off to CNN.

Why It Sucks

  1. Much like its predecessors, it's quite biased in news reporting.
  2. Carl Azuz, the show's main news reporter, is very annoying and acts more like a comedian than an actual news reporter.
    • Not to mention, he fires off too many cringeworthy puns in a row at the end of each episode.
  3. The 10 Second Trivia topic is a complete buffoonery because it asks questions that even 3 years old would know, and it usually asks about states around the world, which gets boring after a while.
  4. It replaced CNN Student News.
  5. Whenever CNN 10 is aired on a Friday, Carl Azuz always brags about how awesome Fridays are, and always rushes through the news as well.
  6. 99% of their news consists of either hurricanes or state wars, which also gets boring after a while as well, and it also makes this show extremely useless when it comes to teaching students.
  7. At the end of each news, 10 Out of 10 categories are introduced, and it's very unnecessary because it's only used as an excuse to make reports on either everyday objects or people. Also, there was once a 10 Out of 10 involving a basketball player trying to make a trick shot where he shoots the basketball way up into the air, but they edited it to make it look like he made it, despite the fact that he actually missed. The 10 out of 10 music can also be ear-piercing.
  8. On top of all of this, it's a very useless tool in classrooms and most likely won't teach students much, and it's also considered torture to some extent, because most of the time, the teachers give you a sheet of paper to fill out every day to see if you learned anything from or paid attention to the news, despite the fact that it's sometimes very biased in news reporting, and is just a pointless bore to brainwash students into thinking a certain way.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Catchy theme song and intro.
  2. Some good episodes.
  3. It gets interesting here and there.
  4. Around the end of the school year, it becomes less biased in reporting news and tries to get as much news reported as possible before the school year is over.
  5. It goes on a hiatus during the summer and will come back during the day when school starts. Therefore, it will not be there to ruin your summer vacation.
  6. CNN Student News from 2012 - 2016 was better.
