The Italian Lockdown
Sorry, but this episode legit came out 2 years too late.
Series: The Crazy-Ass Group Show: The Series, Television Presentation
Part of Season: 7

The Italian Lockdown is an episode of the seventh season of The Crazy-Ass Group Show: The Series, Television Presentation.

Mario and his gang go to Italy to attend a classic movie convention in Naples, however, disaster strikes when they get quarantined due to COVID-19 making a resurgence there. Meanwhile, Mr. Kat, Cinderella and Rapunzel leave Hawaii to had back to America, but trouble arises when Cinderella forgets her glass slippers back at the beach where she and Rapunzel where residing.

Why It Sucks

  1. The is another episode that is notorious for having some of the most filler in the entire series.
  2. This episode is also notable for bringing its Italian stereotypes to a whole new level.
  3. Mario is really unlikable here, since he treated his gang like trash the whole episode.
  4. Wario and Waluigi are also unlikable, since they continuously make remarks on how dumb Luigi is.
  5. This episode came out pretty late for its time. It's about Mario and his friends getting quarantined due to the resurgence of COVID-19 in Italy, however at the time it came out, the Italian Government was already lifting COVID Restrictions.
  6. It's a Luigi torture episode, since he was treated like a punching bag the whole episode!
  7. Even the subplot of Mr. Kat, Cinderella and Rapunzel isn't all that good.
    • The whole subplot is nothing but pointless filler.
    • Mr. Kat is unlikable for stealing Moana's boat for the journey home.
    • Cinderella is pretty dumb for forgetting her glass slippers back at the beach where she and Rapunzel were residing.
    • Rapunzel became an annoying comic-relief on par with Mater from Cars 2.
      • She is also very dumb and unlikable here because of a scene where she, being overly dramatic about being lost at sea, takes one “last” feet pic with her and Cinderella when she thinks they are dying and even posts it on Instagram.
    • This is overall not a good way to start the second half of the “Cinderella–Rapunzel–Mr. Kat mini-arc”.
  8. There were way too many filler scenes going on in this entire episode, these include:
    • Bomb making loud sex noises when doing it with Agnes (his ice cream) in the apartment next to Mario’s.
    • Peach laughing at FaceBook minion memes, which had been irrelevant since like, 2019.
    • Daisy thrusting Toad with her butt (complete with jiggle physics)
    • Chuck and the Blues having a bike race.
    • Randy and Alastor jumping on pogo sticks.
    • Killer Moth assassinating the president of Italy.
    • Loona getting high waiting for Kat to come back.
    • Ness, Alisa Bosconovitch, Nicole Watterson, and The San Antonio Spurs Coyote having a shopping spree at the Centro Commerciale Neapolis.
  9. Plot Holes:
    • How did Cinderella forget about her glass slippers? Shouldn’t she realize she was walking barefoot when they were in Moana's summer house instead of 10 minutes after they set off for America?
    • How did Moana get a summer house? Granted, her parents probably built it as a reward for her, but still.
    • How did Bomb rent an apartment in Italy?
    • Shouldn't Mr. Kat book an airplane flight to America? Granted, he did do so at the ending of the subplot, but he should’ve done that at the very beginning.
    • Why was Rapunzel so overdramatic about starving to death when she is in perfect health?
  10. Non-Conclusive Ending: Bomb finds the apartment Mario and his friends were in and asked if one of them would like to have a threeway with him and Agnes.
  11. Mario, Wario, Waluigi, Daisy and Rapunzel were never punished for their actions, making them all Karma Houdinis.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Bowser accidentally ending up in Malta was kinda funny.
  2. Mr. Kat showed remorse for stealing Moana's boat and realized how stupid he was for not booking a flight.
  3. Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, Bowser, Giuglia Marcovaldo and Moana are likable here.

  • Continuity: This episode begins the second half of the “Cinderella–Rapunzel–Mr. Kat mini-arc”.
  • This is the most censored episode of the series to date.
    • In the Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Chinese and Greek dubs:
      • The dialogue of Bomb's scenes were entirely re-scripted, this is also the case with the Arabic dub.
      • The scene of Rapunzel's insanity was entirely removed, this is also the case with the Japanese, Russian and Hungarian dubs.
    • In the Japanese, Russian and Hungarian dubs:
      • The scene of Rapunzel's insanity was removed
    • In the Korean and Taiwanese Chinese dubs:
      • The scene with Daisy and Toad was omitted.
    • In the Arabic dub:
      • The dialogue of Bomb's scenes were entirely re-scripted.
    • Irony: The entire episode was banned in Italy due to its many stereotypes, despite this, the episode was still released in predominantly Italian-speaking communities of Switzerland and Austria.
  • The title is different in some regions.
    • 意大利與冠狀病毒:第二輪 (Cantonese) / Italy and the Coronavirus: Round 2
    • 마리오와 루이지의 락다운 (Korean) / Mario and Luigi's Lockdown
    • Mario's Vacation
